“He that loves a book will never want a faithful friend, a wholesome counselor, a cheerful companion, an effectual comforter. By study, by reading, by thinking, one may innocently divert and pleasantly entertain himself, as in all weathers, as in all fortunes.” - Barrow

I have been married to my soulmate for 35 years.
I have 4 children who have blessed me with 6 grandchildren. I consider them the angelitos(little angels) of my life.

The Art Of A Good Marriage
Happiness in marriage is not something that just happens.
A good marriage must be created. In marriage the little things are the big things. It is never being too old to hold hands.
It is remembering to say "I love you" at least once a day.
It is never going to sleep angry. It is at no time taking the other for granted; the courtship should not end with the honeymoon, it should continue through the years. It is having a mutual sense of values and common objectives. It is standing together facing the world. It is forming a circle of love that gathers the whole family.
It is doing things for each other, not in the attitude of duty or sacrifice, but in the spirit of joy. It is speaking words of appreciation and demonstrating gratitude in thoughtful ways.
It is not looking for perfection in each other. It is cultivating flexibility, patience, understanding and a sense of humour.
It is having the capacity to forgive and forget. It is giving each other an atmosphere in which each can grow old. It is a common search for the good and the beautiful. It is establishing a relationship in which the independence is equal, dependence is mutual and the obligation is reciprocal. It is not only marrying the right partner; it is being the right partner.

I WANT

I want to know, when day is done,
That life has been worth living,
That I have brought somebody joy
Through kind unselfish living.
I want to feel, when evening falls
and shadows quickly lengthen
That I have made somebody glad,
Some weakness I have strengthened.
I want to know that come what may
I've left some cheer and gladness;
I want to feel at close of day
I've banished someone's sadness.
I want to feel at close of day
That someone's cares were lighter
Because of kindness I have done,
May someone's life be brighter.

I am not online to find or seek romance, to be flirted with and/or talked dirty to nor do I have any interest in seeing half-naked and/or naked people and/or exposed body parts. I am online because it is a creative venue that makes our Universe a smaller, cozier, happier place if one is so inclined to make use of it.

good morning

We hope this finds you had a very good night and the day is starting out well for you, too.

I've been up since about 4:00 a.m.; couldn't sleep. I'm (and Papa) are so excited about getting our new desk in and we got the computer and all the other equipment set up and running. So many cords! But we need them if we want to do all that we do.

I still have all the sorting through papers, etc. to do but I have a little more room in which to do it. And I will discarding a few things, as well.

We got 2 " of rain already and we had a little snow, too. Just as all our plants are coming up good we're supposed to get another freeze. We go through this every spring!

We hope you have a lovely day!

Much Love, Junie and Papa Allen

Hello! It's seems like it's been "forever" since I've left a comment on your page. I'm hoping this is the beginning of a return.

As you know, we have been very busy with Papa's father and family. We decided to tako off last Saturday to visit one of our sons and his family (out of town, of course) and had a great time of it!

We went early so we could have some private time with our 4 grandchildren. Later in the day the rest of this huge family arrived. Our daughter-in-law's family is wonderful! This is about the 3rd. we've gathered with them. Papa finds he has a lot in common with them since they are all farmers; that's the way he started out as a child and many years after.

Papa and Travis and our grandson, Jonathan, walked me down to the barn to see the neww feeder pigs and bucket calves. They are so sweet when they are that small! I grew up around these things so it brought me much pleasure, too. Jonathan will have some of the livestock for his 4-H project. (Jonathan is 11 now)

It was so peaceful out there! There was a soft breeze and little noise. We could have stayed forever there! We've always wanted a little acreage for that reason but it won't happen; we're where we're at for the rest of our lives. We get the noisy end of farming by living across from the grain elevator!

Papa has been trying to do a few odd jobs but he is having some problems with his joints and fybromyalgia right now; slows him down a lot.

We hope and pray  you are doing okay. If not, put it God's hands. He will give you the strength and comfort to get through. Take care, Dear Friend.

Much Love, Junie and Papa Allen
