I’m a female, Southern California Baby Boomer, recently retired after 27 years in aerospace, an odd place for someone with a degree in English and a love for literature, music, and other things of beauty that can’t be produced in a factory. But it provided a good living, one that allowed me to have a house of my own (the American Dream) and retire at 55.
I am happily re-married since 2002, after being prematurely widowed in 1995. Although I have no children of my own, my husband has adult children and grandchildren spread across 3 states.
I do volunteer work, telephoning elderly, homebound seniors and also office work for my local senior services center and a start-up residence for hospice patients.
