Call to Congress Call-In Week
Join thousands of diabetes advocates for ADA’s 2008 Call to Congress Call-In on April 28 –May 2! That week, hundreds of diabetes advocates will be on Capitol Hill visiting with their Members of Congress - asking them to increase funding for diabetes research and prevention.
You can also get involved by joining them in a diabetes double-whammy by calling the toll-free Call-In number at 1-877-ADA-2008 the week of April 28th. With your help we will make sure that Congress gets the message that they need to do more to fight diabetes
Was just diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes on May 23rd 2007. What a big shock that was to me. I was very upset. So I said to myself I have got to take care of ME and go on with my life. I have been excersising and losing weight and learning all I can about this diease of Diabetes. Its been very hard on me but I am living it one day at a time. I have some very wonderful friends that are helping me threw this all. They have been very supportive of me and keep my head on straight. Thank you Steve and Martha for all the love and support you both have given me. I am very blessed to have you in my life. God has given me precious gifts and those gifts are the both of you. My life would not be compelete with out the both of you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for always being there when I needed you the most.
I am enjoying my life each day to the fullest is what I always say cause life is too short that's for sure. I enjoy making new friends as I find having friends makes your life a whole lot better.I have been married to my husband Karl going on 26yrs this Feb 20th. I have three children one son age 26 and two daughters ages 22 and 19.I am also a grandma of two beautiful little ones Natalie age 3 and Aden age 2 which bring such joy and happiness in my life every time I get to see them and be with them. I work from home have been for many years. I sell bath and body products. I also am a Consultant for Partylite Candles. I enjoy meeting new people and being my own boss. I enjoy warm summer days swimming in my pool, taking walks and having a iced latte.. I also enjoy reading books, and playing a good game of poker every now and then. Love to have friends over and meeting new people are just wonderful.
And I do enjoy listening to music and dancing as well as and helping others when needed.
