For starters, I prefer Dramas and Mysteries primarily.. usually the Comedies or Romance are not that enjoyable to me except for popular winners such as "Sleepless in Seattle" or "When Harry Met Sally".
I have little interest in "Action" or "Sci Fi", Though, I believe in E.T.s and I like that film depicting a true story, "Fire in the Sky". Very well done film, and though frightening, I felt they depicted the abduction very believably. I also enjoy Musicals, but really good ones. I enjoyed watching Fred Astaire, even as a child.
Films that are most memorable for me is when I am affected by or touched by something in a film. I have a TON of favorite movies and I generally go for the award-winning ones, but have enjoyed some obscure an independent films. I will have to add to as I think of them, but here are some:
The Shawshank Redemption
As Good As it Gets
American Beauty
Annie Hall
West Side Story
The River Wild
Titanic
This Boy's Life
Driving Miss Daisy
A Few Good Men

I love Rythym and Blues; I typically liked music from the '60's, of course - Beatles, Beach Boys and all the Soul Groups. Say what you will about Michael Jackson, but his music.. if you ever went dancing, you know that people didn't sit still when his music was played. I still see Hall and Oates concerts. Those of you who wouldn't know, it's not just their "old commercial hits", they have made a lot of great music, and Daryl has recorded some solo work. What a voice! Okay, you can tell I dig him.
Some older favorites from my collection are by: Al Green, James Taylor, Cat Stevens, Annie Lennox, John Fogerty, John Mellencamp, Marvin Gaye, Bonnie Raitt,

I read something all the time.. but, usually something I am just trying to learn. I will admit I do not always finish books. I prefer more factual or Autobiographies and Metaphysical books over Novels. I've been reading Steve Martin's book about his life, which is interesting and enjoyable.

I am a funny, sensitive, genuine and nice individual. I am fairly neat and organizational and enjoy being a pet owner. I like conversing and I can be slightly opinionated.
My feelings about relationships: I discovered over time, that I prefer being by myself than in a relationship that would be negative and not adding to my life. A person shouldn't feel lonely when with another when the point is to be on the "same page", appreciating and enjoying each other. I think it is wonderful if a couple has that, but I have never experienced that "very mutual" kind of thing, entirely.
Honestly, I think having an independent attitude over the years, I get much more out of being home with Pets and entertaining myself. I guess I am a bit unusual. I have friends and family to chat with and I am never lonely, but I do get the urge to discuss or share with people on various topics.
These days, if I were to seek involvement, I would choose a person like myself, who wants the same thing - an independent type who takes care of themselves, getting together for enjoyable activities, sometimes spontaneously, but who also chooses to have only one partner in his life.
