Not long ago, a member asked if he could have an additional profile and link it to his current profile because he had so much stuff on his page and it took so long to load, people would get frustrated and leave.
And he was right! I went to his page and sure enough his page took so long to load I could have went to lunch and come back before it got done loading. Boy did he have some stuff on there!
So I made a suggestion based on the old axiom \"less is more\".
I told him to take half the stuff off his page and then begin to rotate it, adding new stuff every now and then and replacing the old stuff with the new. Now his page loads faster and visitors come more often to see what he\'s added because they know he\'s \"keepin\' it fresh\".
He wrote back to me to tell me how much better his page was. It loaded faster and people come back more often to see how his profile has changed and what he had added recently.
