"Contentment"
There is not a happy soul on the planet who does not possess a ceaseless feeling of gratitude. It is indeed that experience, of abiding thankfulness, which begets the tranquil state-of-existence we call "contentment". Show me a person who is either constantly depressed, easily irritated or incessantly angry and I will show you a thankless wretch. The vexation of content souls is that they must patiently deal with those who are thankless. However, whereas one who is thankless has not the power to change the one who is content, the one who is content is able to inspire one who is thankless. The question then of why there are not more content people than thankless people presents an apparent paradox within this world of hurt, revealing the intrinsically depraved nature of mankind. Aye, the vast majority of the thankless souls are those who care not to be content and see little value in serenity. Those who yearn for that blessed and blissful state of contentment, however, will seize upon the key and will gladly enter the practice of thanksgiving.
