One quick way to post code exactly like you did in the old Boomers is to first click on "HTML" sitting just to the right of the green tree.  A white box (HTML Editor) will come up and you can paste your code into that box.

You can also post code from Photobucket by first clicking on the green tree and then insert code from the "direct Link" area under your graphic.

Try these and see if they help you.

On either of these methods be sure to hit your enter key at least once to move your text away from your graphic.

P.S. I don't know if you will have a problems with this but I did.  When you pull up your friend's list to choose who you want to send a comment to, I found that when I tried to click the icon to take me to their page, it was not clickable.  The only ones I could click on their icon were the people in my "Top 12 Friends List".  I called one of my friends on here and they told me to click on the name above the icon.  That worked.
