I have decided that there must be a Secret Society of Vacuum Cleaners that have banded together to make my life miserable. They are ethnically diverse and go by many names: Singer, Electrolux, Dirt Devil, Big Green Machine, Kenmore. It doesn’t matter which one I use, the same problems occur over and over. No wonder I dread cleaning!
Today is a good case in point. I decided to tidy up the bedroom. Everything was going along swimmingly for all of maybe 5 minutes. Then, the hose was clogged. I unclogged it. Started over. It clogged up again. So then I decided to empty the canister (it’s a bagless machine). That was my really BIG MISTAKE! In the process of trying to dump out the dirt some of it ended up back on the floor and an equal amount ended up all over me! Can we just say I was not a happy camper.
So, frustrated by the lack of cooperation from my Dirt Devil, I decided to use the broom. At least it has no moving parts that require electricity or a hose that can get clogged up.
