I would like to thank everyone for their prayers for my daughter and her baby. Unfortunately things did not work out the way we had hoped. We were able to see another doctor, but he would not take her on as his patient. He confirmed what she had been told and explained to us that the baby was so badly deformed that there was no way that it would ever live, even if she carried to term the baby would probably die invetro or die at birth. He also explained to her that the reason that termination was recommended was because her health was at risk.
It was with much soul searching and prayer that she decided to terminate the pregnancy. I went with her to Atlanta, Georgia where the proceedure was performed. It was perhaps one of the hardest things that either of us had been through. I will ask that you continue to hold her up in prayer she is putting on a very brave front for everyone else but I know that this is tearing her up inside, she no longer holds herself responsible for the baby being malformed but does hate the fact that she had to make such a hard decision to terminate a baby that was wanted and loved so much before it was born.
