Anger
Posted On 05/07/2008 11:37:05 by Beanie

It comes, it goes. Sometimes it's hard to identify the reason, and if you cannot identify it then it's hard to let go...

Sleeping on the mountain last night, away from the distractions of people and things, was good for my spirit. It allowed me to listen/hear the things I have been ignoring and/or denying.

One anger is the wars. I support the troops, I do not support the war.
Another generation of our youth is repeating the mistakes of our Congress...

My biggest anger is at my physicians. How could my diagnosis go from --lumpectomy/no node involvement/radiation only because your scans are clean--to lymph node involvement and gotta do a biopsy on that spot on your liver?

I am very grateful for the new and younger oncologist who insisted on another biopsy...I'm disappointed with the others for missing it. And I'm angry with them. They have been monitoring me since the first cancer, and supposedly have been very watchful because of my exposure to Agent Orange. Yeah, right.

I am angry at these humans. I will work through it and let go of it.
But I had to give myself permission to seek the source of my anger/sadness before I could understand this detour on my path.

I don't understand it yet. All I understand right now is things have changed, and I must adjust. I will.

My mask of strength and stamina was cracking, I know why now. Gonna be bare-faced for awhile.

It appears it's time for me to let go of a lot of things.

Peace,
Donnah

You
may be angered at what is happening to you in the VA, but there are
alot of great doctors there and you should always get a second opinion.

**I never said my healthcare team was in the VA. You assume too much if you think I have not gotten second and third opinions.

My
ancestors fought in the Civil War both sides of it and through WWII and
do you think for a moment I'm happy you for loving the soldiers and
hating the war - it makes no sense to me what-so-ever.  And don't you
tell me I don't understand - I understand fully that you are weak kneed
and why I say this is that I've known men throughout my life who have
been in the service of this country and would gladly give their life to
this country again.  I've seen them at the WWII celebration and found
friends of every type.  I've been changed because of that experience
from seeing through my Dad's eyes and the people we met there.

**No, I am not weak kneed. Period. You understand nothing about me if you have not talked with me, discussed differences in opinions as adults, or shown me the respect you expect to be shown you.
My father was a WW2 and Korean Conflict Veteran. My brother was a casualty of the Vietnam War, I served two tours as an Army nurse, one of my aunts also served a tour in Vietnam. We honored our sense of duty and did what we felt was right...

Family tradition since I was a child was honoring Veterans--parades, etc..It instilled in me a pride in this country and those who served with honor and dignity.

You
take this country for granted Beanie and I'm ashamed at you - How many
people have to die before we do something to eliminate an enemy or to
make sure those lives were not taken in vain?  How many - a million or
so.

*Your shame should be directed at yourself. I hold no stock in your accusations that you believe to be truth. It may be your truth but it's not truth to many people.

I do not take this country and its' freedoms for granted...as the old saying goes, "I may not believe in your opinion, but I would fight for your right to have it." Perhaps the same courtesy should be extended?

The enemy is of a kind that loves the weak-kneed and will
kill those people in a flash for the enemy loves a sparing partner big
time.  They want to know we love this country to fight for it and will
egg Americans on to do so, by killing them or whatever it takes.

In
Vietnam, the President at the time thought it best for the military to
come home before the people even grew stronger in mind and body and you
know what happened to them they were killed and maimed and Communism
took over that country.  Stupid move!!!!!!  Those who burned the flag
should have been taken off the street and put over to that country to
live and see how they would love to live that way.  Like you Beanie!

*I was there. I saw how they lived. Check the history books on that war before speaking with minimal understanding of the whole.
I never burned our flag nor supported any who did it.

I,
for one don't want to have this enemy here - although from the FBI they
are in our mist - I hope your happy when the shit hits the fan here,
for you are one of those people who think we did something wrong when
all we did was try to help a Nation that was in trouble.  And when they
would become stronger leave.  That is why the military should be gone
out of those countries that are at peace now like France, Germany,
etc.  and the rest should stay until the people are stronger to fight
back.

*Your assumptions sadden me. You do not know me well enough to make such assumptions.
"I hope you'll be happy when the shit hits the fan here." ???

I'm angered at you for being like you are - and I only
hope that something does happen here which it may in the next election
so you can live like those overseas without freedoms and rights.  And
when you spew hatred for this country you find out what it is like for
those people who do who die, jailed in prisons without TV, and great
food or exercise bikes.  People like you will see what Communism is
like - Nazism and the like.  Maybe you'll have a greater respect for
the country then - when you have to fight to live.

*I do not spew hatred for this country. You are foolish in seeing something like this in my blog.
What I see in your reply is hatred being spewed at me for what good reason? A target for your combined angers at many things? I do not have a bulls eye on my back...I do have friends who cover my back...earned the hard way by putting myself in harms way.

This blog entry was sharing my sorrow, anger, and fear. I tried to share my efforts to become centered and focused in order to be stronger. I need that strength to fight my biggest battle...to survive this cancer.

If you want to start a blog about your politics, do so.

Aloha Beanie…I completely understand your frustration and anger with both the war and your physicians who obviously made a giant error with your original diagnosis. Your feelings are well directed. To seek the source of your anger, to let it go, to understand the change and begin to adjust is all you can ask of yourself. You are amazing for just getting to that point. I would still be stuck on anger. If you believe in God He will give you strength and stamina, just for the asking. I will look forward to you next blog post. Much Aloha, Donna
