Hi everyone, again thanks for your support and prayers. Today they took my Dad down for surgery. I was a wreck because he had just had an episode of breathing trouble prior to being taken down to the OR and I was afraid he was too ill to undergo general anesthesia. I went to the chapel and tried to put everything in God's hands, but I was quite nervous. Three and a half hours later they told me that Dad was in Recovery and asking for us. What a joy it was to see his face and hear him complaining about how cold it was in the Recovery room. By 7:30 PM he was back in his room eating ice cream and watching the Red Sox. The doctors put permanent tubes in his kidneys which will drain the urine, they are hopeful the kidneys will resume normal function, but it is too soon to say for sure whether or not the procedure was successful. So far, so good, and tonight he looks great and is still joking with the nurses as usual. Thanks for all your prayers. Hugs, Faith
