It seeems Michigan is gradually releasing it's winter grip. It was warm enough to sleep with the window open just a crack last night. And lo and behold at around 5:30 am the birds began to sing for the first time since last fall. First just one, then another and pretty soon it sounded like hundreds all chiming in with their own special song. The morning air smelled like spring. I was happy just like the robin on the front lawn pulling a fresh worm out of the ground.
