TOOOOOOOOOOOO Skinny!!!!!
Posted On 12/01/2008 07:28:52 by Sharkfin

Good Morning. Has anyone been to the grocery store and seen this magazine in the check-out line racks? SHAPE, well you can’t miss it, it is spouting a picture of Faith Hill on the cover with a yellow swim suit cover up which should have covered her more. I say this because I for one think she looks terrible in this shot. If this is what women are choosing to become: Under nourished Skinny, and looking like you haven’t ate in weeks? Then call me switching sides…I will take the gay train…jokingly not serious but my gosh does she look like skin stretched over the bone….

Here is what one writer called that article and I say he was right on!

WARNING! ARTICLE CLAIMS DIET AND EXERCISE GAVE 41-YEAR-OLD CELEBRITY A BODY THIS SPECTACULAR. SHE'S ACTUALLY PROBABLY HAD PLASTIC SURGERY, A PERSONAL CHEF, AND HOURS WITH A TRAINER, AND A LITTLE HELP FROM PHOTOSHOP, SO BEFORE YOU START FEELING GLUM, JUST REMEMBER WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING AT IS AN ILLUSION, A MANUFACTURED IMAGE TO SELL MAGAZINES DESIGNED TO MAKE YOU FEEL BEASTLY SO THAT YOU SPEND MONEY TO IMPROVE YOUR LOOKS DESPITE THE CRAPPY ECONOMY.

I agree with his portrayal of the article except where he said the body looked spectacular, because I for one love women who do not look like they haven’t ate in two weeks, who are showing every bone god presented them with and further more do not need make-up to show shading that is already there…DUE TO SUNKEN SKIN ON THEIR FACES!!!! Holey Crap pass the Tylenol… I think I am dizzy from being up too high on the soap box… But do me a favor and check out SHAPE magazine and tell me what your thoughts are on the cover shot? If that is not pushing young gals into anorexia then I am blind and will for ever more shut my pie hole…Not really but, what’s the phrase I am looking for…My opinion, that’s it My Opinion is my opinion and does not reflect any shape…hmmm… any shape nor form the views of this whole world…She is too damned skinny, I feel like force feeding her Twinkies until she gets back over 100 pounds…You know, I used to love her, not seriously love her but loved the songs she sang, her hair styles were always on today’s young woman who wanted that extra little star quality look, but please! She has lost it…I really think she lost it back when Carrie Underwood won an award that Faith Hill thought she should have won…This is a few years back mind ya, but I think Faith Hill needs serious help…honestly she does…

Ok…enough Male bitching about women looking to thin… gosh does she look sickly…ooops I am stopping now…

What on earth…

Ok…

I am better now…

Deep breath Marty…ok. I think I can go on… Well shoot it’s late and work has begun until tomorrow… Have a fabulous day and a better tomorrow.

A huge hug and many pats

Who thinks that looks sexy????

Gosh!

I loved his thought process... and I agree with you, if you want to be thinner fine do it… but do not make a big deal overweight. I think people need to be healthy in their weight but who says every bone needs to show… I …how do I say this with out becoming a Male Chauvinistic Pig… …Well crap there is no easy way… So I will just say, don’t allow society to shame you into being a stick person. Take the dude they make all those subway commercials on…Jared…He was way overweight and looks great now, but he did not go to the point of making his body look like a Halloween Decoration…

In my opinion, "skinny" is sick! Of course, I'm over-weight but I and Papa feel there's nothing attractive or sexy about a "skinny" person. In fact, my first husband always made the comment, "who wants to pick the bones away when you make love?" And he wanted me slender but not "skinny."

My husband finds me very atrractive and sexy. There's times I wonder why but that's the way he feels. And some others have felt that way about me, too.

I used to be slender, in a good way, and I'd like to be that way again but I don't believe it is meant to be.

Marvelously written.

It would seem that the more we enhance our body parts...the more and more we need body shops....

Hi Marty...I am tall and slim...not thin...and have found in my lifetime that most men prefer a full body figure on a woman.  Now we not only see "thin is in" among the stars ??? but add to that duck lips/balloon breasts/plastic skin/and an assortment of rearranged body parts.

The best know fact is Love has nothing to do with the body.  When an "internal woman falls in love with an "internal man" it's the best.  When an "external woman falls in love with an "external man" it usually is superficial.  Hugs, Donna

I will not shake my stick...

However, you doll are beautiful just the way you are, stop fighting with yourself about your weight, let's ask ourselves a question. What is the proper weight?

Can anyone give you that? No, but some doctor can say or show you a chart for your age height and sex and say you should be in this range... Ok, I would say this to that, your friend that is heavy and feels sexy good for her. That is what is right. Creating a world of skeletons with skin stretched over them models is ugly. I have seen many gals attempt to be model skinny and hurt themselves in the long run...We have people who hurt themselves into being skinny...what does skinny mean?
It stands for:

Sickly…Kind…Icky!…Needs…Nourishment…Yes!

Mel you look fine!

I have spnt a life time fightning my weight. I was not meant to be thin but am determined to be at least a reasonable weight inbetween ( not skinny ). One thing I have learned...too skinny makes more wrinkles, don't want that either.
I agree with you Marty..too thin is not a good thing. The best this is to be happy with the way you are. I know a large person that is sexy ad beautiful, it's like she has no idea she is thicker than she should be...funny thing is few people notice. They see the sexy, confident beauty she is. Attitude is everything. She attracts more men than you can shake a stick at. The key is be happy and confident with who you are.
