Well kids… been a rough couple of days. Trust me, for as small as they are, ticks can do a number on the body…Lordy pete, I am a mess…Allergy plus cellulites (thank you, UK Hosp.)
Visit to the Doctor… It was a Wednesday, don’t ya know. Kim was gone but the regular crew was there at the office…Saw a new Nurse Practitioner, Peggy… Nice lady… but I think she didn’t quite what to make of me… lololol Nah, can you believe that? Lolol
Anyway, I traded 5 gallons (slight exaggeration) of blood for two bottles of pills and a topical ointment. Does that sound like a fair trade? Just asking….
They is gonna send the 5 gals to the lab… test for of all kinds of tick borne diseases… The one Rx is aimed at Lyme’s (sp) Disease. And if I make typos or can’t spell today, it’s because I am only semi-sober.
Remember the last time I went on anti-histamines (drunk out of my mind) and the swing chair let go and I go boom? I don’t know why it is but I am always a split second away from total chaos and total disaster… lolol
Here’s another one… taking the Benadryl caps, right? Roll out of bed… go to kitchen after making a short pit stop. No leftover coffee.. Well, I grind the coffee beans…put them in maker basket. Go to rinse out the pot… no water. This happens every so often, sometimes the well pump needs to recharge or sumfin.
I WANT my COFFEE! Aha! Bottled water, setting on the basement steps… Took two and a half bottles to fill the pot…Coffee maker starts perking away… I see beautiful coffee dripping into pot… Wonderful!
Almost dancing with impatience, I watched… Woo Hoo…coffee pot full of lovely coffee. Pour a big mug full… Hustle down the hall, carefully balancing cup so I don’t spill any of it.
Got back here, sat, took a sip… OMG! I spit the mouthful into the plastic lined waste basket… What have I done… OMG! Have I poisoned myself? What IS going on here?
I mentally retrace my steps… did I, in my semi drunken state put something in the maker by mistake? No, did nothing out of the ordinary… Headed back down the hall, just a hustling. Checked the bottled water… Berry flavored? BERRY FLAVORED???? Well at least I hadn’t poisoned myself… What a relief!
One of Paula’s NEW Basic Rules of Thumb… Check the label before you pour…especially if bottled water was given to you… lolol
Gotta tell ya that the Marv is giving me a hard time again! He seems to take it as a personal offense if the News is late or… Heaven forfende, not published at all. Sheesh!
Keeping this short today… Got the ‘swim head’.. local term for dizziness…
