EMOM'S MOUNTAIN NEWS

SUNDAY EDITION?
2010*7*25

Welcome home, Dear Hearts, welcome home!

Get your buns in here and cool off! It is absolutely miserable out there already! I just got back inside. Was out there watering the new plantings…everything looking good so far. The baby mimosa was down right perky this morning.

I sprinkled some perennial seeds over MrT’s spot and watered those in. The new roses are coming right along. Best yet, I have seed pods hanging from the back porch mimosa! YES!

I know SherriAnn says the mimosa is an invasive tree… getting into water lines… only have one line coming in from the well. Then they will grow into fence lines… I don’t have any fences.

An aside here… I got one of those emails… Western Union says I have $1.5 mill coming if I just will pay the fees involved up front. (Remember the email from the FBI?) Crackin’ me up… Greed aside, do you guys have any idea how much trouble I would have with the USDA… Soc Sec…and a few other government agencies should I really win or really be entitled to this mil and a half? Trust me, it boggles the mind! When it comes to playing mind games with the G Agencies, it don’t pay! It ain’t worth it (the VA comes to mind)… and final opinion… you CANNOT argue with closed minds…I do believe I am on somebody’s ‘get her’ list.

Any way… back to the mims… I have a section of land that comes to about 1/3 of an acre. It shows on the Google pic and lies to the east(to the right) of the house. It is uncut and I leave it that way…. I do have a ‘road’ mowed along the edges every year. I throw seeds of all sorts in there. There are ferns along the back drop off. I’ll dig those up as soon as I get shade going along the edges of the pond. I also plants seedling trees… I throw the cherry pits in there too. Something is bound to grow… or not… lolol

While I was out there watering, some of my BBSBs went over. Could only see a couple cause of the haze but I could hear them…Couldn’t show any ankle…darn it! I was wearing my snake boots. I think I am better off wearing the Granny Grunge outfits..

I talked to Butch and Dotty yesterday…lolol Butch was in a definite maybe mood. I cracked up. He has a back hoe! Yes, he does…! And he has his very own creek. I asked him if he could bring me a load of creek rock… Doesn’t every body call the good neighbor and ask for a load of creek rock on a Saturday morning?
Well, we discussed the merits of creek rocks mixed with sand and gravel and and and. Yup, yup, that’s what I want. I did ask that he leave any water moccasins down at his place. Said he hadn’t seen any this year. Just wanted to make sure, me. Then Dotty got on the phone and we gossiped a bit. And we talked about the goats…They have lost several in the past week or so… (don’t quote me on the time)… Lost some of the babies too. They do love their critters.

I heard a round fired while I was out… saw a couple of buzzards circling to the west of me. There is a lovely breeze blowing but the ‘no-see-ums’ are out… Can you say I got bitten… and I also had a tick on me.

Good Grief! I just received a pic of a disease carrying mosquito from the Brat, Marv. What is he up to? Yesterday it was a patriotic jelly fish!

Oh last and least, here is the set up for the just finished apple painting… lolol The black background is a camo vest… Some pup or another ate the zipper! Just thot you all needed to know that too… I’m getting tickled… lolol

LOLOL another remember… It’s all in the mind! lolol

I am outa here. More coffee and maybe some breakfast… Take care all of mine. Go in safety always. Remember steer clear of the Marv… he seems to be in one of his moods!
Gotcha again…

Many hugs…much love… and loads of lafter…Meems

That's cute, Donna! I used to have a cat that looked like that.

The bugs, of all sorts, are terrible this year! Papa always sprays for them but it hasn't done any good because of all the rain. What's one to do?

I love the apple, Meemsy!
