Find an image that you would like
to use as a profile picture.  Some
people prefer not to use a photo
of themselves and instead choose
something else.  If you wish, ck out Boomer
members profiles to get an idea
of what others have uploaded as
their profile pics.

If you find an image
online that you like, right click
on the image and save it
to a folder where you can find it easily.

The largest IMAGE SIZE allowed for
PROFILE PICTURES is 170 pixels x 170 pixels.
If your image is larger than this and
you do not have a photo editor, you can
resize you photo using Photo Bucket.

Your profile picture may take a few minutes to be
viewed by all members.

I have spent entirely too much time trying to post a profile picture so when I saw this message I was happy.  Unfortunately, I still am not able to post a profile picture.  The message that I receive states the file is too large.  Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Just take which picture you want to use, resize it to 170 by 170 and save it to your computer then follow the instructions above. If you would like for me to resize it for you just send to me in boomer email and I will resize it for you.   If you are still having a problem let me know and I will help you through it.

If anyone needs a photo resized for a profile pic, I'll be glad to help.  Just send your pic to me in a message.

The problem may be "File Size" rather than pixel dimension. It's possible to have a 170x170 image that has a file size of 500kb, that File Size is over the limit file size wise. Try rezizing to 72dpi.
