I have osteo Arthritis
spine ( neck to butt) , knees , shoulder, ankle and just starting in my hips.

It's not fun !
A positive out look and know a good doctor is two great things to have:)
be careful w/ exercize classes , make sure they are dr. aproved :) .. I do pool therepy. swimming . and water arobics. then some light exercise in the gym to keep my weight down.
the hot tub is Still the best part of it! lol
and the exercise in the pool is way better than outside of it! (heated pool)

I still can do a lot of things , just not as often or have changed the way I go about doing them.

good luck and bless you, Cronic pain Sux! for lack of a better word :O)

me too
The diagnosis was degenerative spinal arthritis but my regular doctor is still baffled about the diagnosis or what to do. Pain meds only help so much and I take them a lot. I have been to 3 different physical therapist with bad to no results. I've tried so many meds that didn't work that I lost count. My pain started in my neck and shoulders 12 years ago. Since then it has spread to my hips, knees, elbows and its a toss up on any given day which is going to hurt but the pain is there every day. I especially have a hard time at night.
One thing that I have found that helps is Yoga. Ask your doctor first to make sure, but it helps me. Not the advanced, balance on one leg type of Yoga. I do the very basic, stretching exercizes only and don't forget the relaxation afterward. Meditation also helps me with the depression, anxiety of not being able to do what I want to do.
Good luck and take care.
