I like the use of color
Great use of color Gary. I find the composition pleasing yet there is something a little too symetrical about it. The two objects coming in from the left and the right and in almost exactly the same place. I think if you would have cleaned it up just a little more and kept objects from offsetting, you could have taken this from a good shot to a fantastic one. Just my opinion and again, I think the shot is very good as is.

Quck & "Dirty" edit
Here is kind of what I mean Gary. Just a quick & dirty edit, has lots of errors you can see, but look at the composition and see if you see what I do. Hey, we're both artists, so you may not see it the way I do, but here are my thoughts and ideas for what they're worth.

Thanks for the critique. I see what you're saying. I left all the "manmade" objects in as a contrast to the only colorful natural thing being the plant. They all kind of point to the plant. I like your version too. I try not to manipulate most of my photos in Photoshop, although this one was sepia toned and then the color added back to the plant. Usually I just clean up and sharpen and adjust colors. I have been known to remove a telephone pole or two also! HA! But hell, I've done that in real life too! Double HA!
Thanks again for the comment.
Take care.
Gary

I have to agree with Clay. Although I would have taken both side objects out maybe left the rebar in, but not sure about that.

I love the different textures.
