Deb,

Thanks for some helpful information, especially for newcomers to the site. Now we need some road signs to help them get here. LOL

Linda

Boomer Page Help
Questions and a few answers on your Boomer Profile Page:

1. I placed a myspace code in the css box and now things do not
show up. What happened?

Myspace, Boomer, and all sites have a built in style sheet in their software that sets how your page should be lined up and how it should work. When you take code from the internet and use it here on Boomer sometimes it conflicts with the preset code and causes a conflict resulting in items not showing on your page. I have found the best way to solve this is to delete any and all code in the css box and save which allows your page to reset.

2. I put a background picture up and now my page scrolls off to the right. What happened?

We all love to put our own picture up to use as a background image but we forget that it needs to be a certain size as not to cause page distoration. Your back ground picture should be
1021 x 619 and it should work correctly.

3. My page was lined up perfect and now a comment has cause it to loose it's format. What can I do?

It's great to find a beautiful picture you love and want to share it with your Boomer friends, however, we have to remember that an over sized picture causes our friends page to loose it's preset boundries. Please make sure your photo is not larger than 300 x 300 and do not use the center code as it will move all contents to the right and cause a page default.

4. I use premade code from other web sites for my comments but it sometimes causes my friends page to loose it's format. Why does this code do that?

When using a code from any comment page please remember to remove the center code from the beginning and end of the comment code. Your graphic looks better and shows respect for your friend when you do not center your comments.

More questions and answers coming. If you have a question please post it and we will get back to you as quickly as possible.

I Know Ms. Linda
With no one really moderating the css help group or creative css group I do not know if they know they can come here. I think I'm gonna have to put on my thinking cap, LOL.
