Have you ever wanted to try your hand at being a firefighter but just didn't like the idea of having to face a burning building at 3 o'clock in the morning? Here is your chance. . .tell me how you would handle this training scenario:
Training scenario # 1
Your engine is first-due for a reported fire in a split-level single-family dwelling. On arrival, you are greeted by a split-level frame dwelling with fire through the roof. You are met at the street by the homeowner who advises that all occupants (she and her two children) are out of the structure and accounted for. You advise your crew to prepare to advance a line through the front door as well as telling the second-due engine to catch the hydrant on the east side of the structure and lay a supply line back to your engine. What is your next move?
