I always get depressed alittle in January because Christmas is over and it's cold outside. This year we have had many warm days up in the 70's to cook out. Today it is getting alittle colder and by the weekend cold again. To fight this depression I start watching what I eat after all those goodies over Christmas. Then I throw some excerise in there and before you know it I am feeling good again. I really don't suffer from depression, but the month of January always gives me alittle taste of it. I am glad there is help for people who suffer from it everyday...

DON'T YOU THINK THAT HAPPENS TO MOST OF US DURING THE COLD WINTER MONTHS WHERE WE ARE MOSTLY INDOORS AND NOT OUT IN THE SUN AND DOING OUTSIDE THINGS .THE DAYS ARE SHORTER, WE TEND TO EAT MORE RATHER IF ITS THE HOLIDAY'S OR JUST FROM BEING BORED. I HAVE STARTED MY SIT UP'S AGAIN WHEN I GET INTO BED AND BEFORE I GET OUT OF BED IN THE MORNING , THERE ISN'T MANY I CAN DO BUT I DO WORK WITH BALL BELLS AND I GRAB THE CUFF OF MY SLACKS AND RAISE MY LEGS UP ONE AT A TIME TO STRETCH THEM OUT AND KEEP THEM LIMBER. AFTER THIS WEATHER HERE I THINK I ADDED A FEW POUNDS AND SOME OF THOSE RECIPES I FIXED DIDN'T HELP BUT WAS MIGHTY GOOD .WHAT EVER REASON ALL OF US GET A TOUCH OF DEPRESSION AT TIMES AND THANK GOD WE HAVE THIS ROOM TO COME TO TALK IN.

I usually walk and go up these very steep steps as many times as I can a day.

Before Rita gets out her can of....

...I try to do what Deb and I yak about:
Just do ONE thing a day...make it simple.
Don't overwhelm myself with a list a mile
long and then say, "Oh sh*t!!! It's toooo
much!!!"
Seems like accomplishing ONE thing at a
time helps me to not think too much about
ALL I think I "should" to be doing.

Oh....and another thing:

I try not to think myself into a corner
with my negativity...

possible use sometime in the future. LOL

This is a wonderful way to put this...

I try not to think myself into a corner
with my negativity...

I'll try to keep this in mind.

Now this quote is a keeper. I never thought about it this way. Think myself into a corner - yep - brings on that fright or flight or hide under the bed, LOL. I think you are on to something sissy - maybe peeps we know like Wolf ( a friend here in Alabama not Jukeboxgeorge, LOL) can hand that up as a New Year's Slogan!!!! Heck, maybe I need to, LOL.

Yeppers, all the good food and having your house all decorated and blinking is fun but actually I was glad to get back to normal. To fight my winter blues I have been cleaning out and throwing away. Kim bought her a new bedroom suite so with cleaning out her room to make new for the new we have also cleaned out closets, thrown away tons of stuff - Steve is so tired of going to the dump and goodwill, LOL. I love getting rid of all of this clutter and have scared Steve to death with all of my "Ideas" and painting list. As Jessie mentioned, I am trying to make myself remember only one thing at a time. I project at a time and not go into the twilight zone, LOL.
Wish me luck........
