I will choose Elated. Sounds like a bunch of People just Elated to be here or anywhere. So E stands for Elated.
Now let’s work on O… Could be as easy as Organization…but I am thinking not… Outsourcing? Naaaa No sounds too much like we are looking for foreign suppliers. How about Outrageous? Yes!!! Outrageous works, so Now we have Elated, Outrageous and I need to find a answer for N… Oh shoot easy! Network! Yeah that has to be it.. So we have Elated, Outrageous, Network… now filling the final spot with the darn S…Oh… easy again, because a Network relies on a System. The System does not work without the Network, so I have it…. I am the man!!
Elated Outrageous Network System EONS must be a group of people high on life… or making the most of it.. and perhaps not too far from what Boomers is or has been. that's why I stayed so long...good company you know is hard to find! I went to check it out. We'll see what it's all about. All sites have their good and bad points I suppose. I'm willing to give it a shot and form my own opinion. I tried sisterwoman for a while...still have no idea what's going on there. Face book...cannot figure out, not user friendly at all. I love myspace, all my family, childrenand grandkids ( older ones ) are there. The other night 7 family members all on my space at one time...what a hoot!

I think the name EON was meant to refer to the eons of years those over 50 have been around (not a great choice of names..sounds like they're calling us OLD..sigh).

I've been onboard at Eon pretty much since it began, but have never liked the interface much and I communicated that to the people who created it early on. They responded they were trying to make it look different than MySpace and the like. Since then it has evolved, but whereas their by-line originally was "for people on the flipside of 50" they've now changed it to "for people on the flipside". Huh? Where's that?? Anyway, a hoard of people are up in arms because one, now it's open to anyone 13 and up and two, pretty much no notice or warning was given to all those who have made EON what it is today. So they're leaving in hoards...and nicely...coming here. I hope this is going to be a good thing for Tom and not strain his system or his budget. Guess we'll see. I fear we'll have another "Boomer crisis" trying to get paying members. I've met some cool new people though which is a plus.

Since everyone is posting about where they are on the net, other than here on Boomer, I've got a MySpace, a Facebook (held out joining there through several invitations until my godson, Fabi, sent me one..then I had to join..I miss him), a Bebo, a Windows Live Spaces (that's my feel-good news blog page where I just post positive news to counteract what we normally get from the media), a JCFaith page (but man, everyone there seems to just post Bible verse comments and "bless you" and that just doesn't seem like real life, as much a woman of faith as I am..), a Beliefnet page, a Yahoo 360 page, and (pant, pant, tongue hanging out), last but not least a page on Multiply.

No one seems to mention Multiply, but I really like it for many reasons, particularly for sharing as whenever I post something new, photos, blog, whatever, I can choose to have the site send out an e-mail or post on others' pages a notice to that effect. Each time I can control who gets the notice..and afterward I can go in on any day and see..down to what page or blog or photos, etc. any given person has viewed. I can keep my photos private or make some or all public to the Multiply community. A young Greek family guy, Peter Pezaris, living in Florida (wife, two little kids) created and owns Multiply. I think it's a pretty cool and somewhat different site and it's where I share our family photos so they can all copy them after our holidays, etc.

And now you know...I LIVE in this little box..I have NO life..LOOOOOL....
