Christmas memories
I remember one year we had the aluminum christmas tree in the living room of the house. It was one of those where the colored wheel would go around and change the color of the tree. Just happened we were at home and smelt some plastic burning. Went into the room and the colored wheel had stopped going around and the light had melted onto one of the colors. Last time we used that tree. Rosyblondie

when growing up Christmas was a awesome time with my family. My parents always had a train going around the tree and they never put the tree up till after my sister had gone to bed on christmas eve. Nothing like it is today, now christmas almost starts before halloween is over let alone thanksgiving. We always had to eat breakfast firt lol and my daughter to this day does it with her children and they we hit the living room and started opening our gifts . Most of the time I think life was more simpler back there, now adays christmas is to much of a commerial for me and kids now adays want so many things that are so pricely that i dont see how some families do it . But i can say all of my christmas's was great

Christmas
My fondest part of Christmas was after the church program on Christmas Eve bet a sack handed too you from the church ladies. It had a orange, apple, popcorn ball, a candy bar and peanuts in the shell in it. We tried when I had my family to do this for our kids but they just looked in the sack and no big deal.............I always felt the goodies inside were the best I ever had.
