How this group got its name.
I named this group after a poem I wrote in 1999 it has been published in 7 books that I know of, and over a 1000 web sites.
I posted the poem on the site main page but also wanted to share it in the form. this poem came to me as I was looking at the back of a milk carton one day. And as I pondered how my own children were almost all grown up. and how fortunate I was to be blessed by God with the blessing of having them with me always. When ever I see the poem published either via the web or in hardprint I write to the publisher ( when I can find out who it is) and ask this of them. To please list me as the author and to include this comment. If you have enjoyed this poem please pray for or make a donation to the Foundation for Missing and Exploited Children so that the parents of missing kids may also enjoy the whispers of their childs love.

A Child's love is like a whisper,

given in little ways we do not hear.

But if you listen closely

It will be very clear.

They often do not say it loud,

but in how they come to you,

"Daddy, will you play with me?

"Mommy, tie my shoe?"

The many ways they tell you,

changes as they grow.

"Dad, I made the team today!"

"Mom, I've got to go!"

"Pop, I need some money.

You see there's - this girl at school."

"Mama, I met a boy today

and WOW, he's so cool."

"Dad, I've got something to tell you.

I think she is the one!"

"Mom, he asked me to marry him.

Would you love him as your son?"

"Dad, I've got some news for you.

It's going to be a boy!"

"Mom, I'm kind of scared of this,

Yet I'm filled with joy!"

A child's love is like a whisper,

given in little ways we do not hear.

But if you listen closely,

it will be very clear.

They often do not say it loud

but in how they come to you.

"Grandpa, will you play with me?"

"Grandma, tie my shoe."

It is never ending,

A blessing from above.

Listen to the whispers

of a child's love.
