Cherry Chews Cookies

I just made some AWESOME cookies!

Cherry Chews

pre-heat oven to 350 degrees

cream together:

1&1/2 sticks Marg.
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar

add and mix thoroughly:

1 egg
2 tsp. vanilla

add blending in well:

1 2/3 c. all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp salt

add:

1 10-11.5 oz. bag cherry flavored chips (looks like red choc. chips)
2 c. Berry Krispies cereal
1 c. coconut
(pecans or walnuts are optional)

drop cookie dough by tablespoons on cookie sheet and pop into the oven
bake until BARELY brown around the edges- do NOT over cook -you want them soft and chewy.
