The Da Vinci Code
I enjoyed the movie too, but once you read the book and then see the movie I think people were disappointed. Not many books play well as a movie. There is always so much detail thats left out. I remember reading Dances With Wolves and read it in one day (almost in one sitting) and that movie ended up as a 3 hour movie. Maybe The Da Vinci Code would have been better as a longer movie I don't know. I would give it more like *** stars.

Da Vinci Code
The movie and book were all right, but certainly nothing that deserved all the attention. I think the biggest disappointment was that girl would turn out to be the of the bloodline. Some how that seemed to be a 'hurried up finish' to the book and movie. As for all the controversy... bah!

The Da Vinci Code *****5 Stars
Based on Dan Brown's best-seller of the same name, Ron Howard's gripping film stars Tom Hanks as Harvard professor Robert Langdon and Audrey Tatou as cryptographer Sophie Neve, who must untangle a web of deceit when the curator of the Louvre, a member of a secret society and a relative of Neve's, is found murdered in the famed museum's hallowed halls. To crack the case and arrive at the truth, they must look to the works of Leonardo da Vinci. I don't know what the big deal was when this movie was released. It was banned in some Countries, and Movie Theaters in the USA. I was raised Catholic, but I am familiar with my beliefs. Many of the things in this movie did happen, it is part of History. It is an excellent movie, and a must see. I wouldn't recommend it for Children. There is violence, and I don't think a young child would understand the depth of the movie. A Must See....

The Book
I have not read the book as of yet. With the new dig, and findings of what they are calling the tomb of Jesus, I think this Movie touched the Church. May have touched another sour note with them. As far as the the blood line of a Women, the Catholic Church would never recognize it. Boy it would throw a wrench in all they stand for. I love to hear your views. Thank you very much.
