Update from Faith May 9th

just talked to my daughter.  Her doctor says that the prognosis for the baby is extremely poor even if the diagnosis of absence of kidneys is incorrect, because of the lack of amniotic fluid.  Mia and her husband want additional testing done that is available only at a specialty hospital, so that will be set up next week if possible.  In the meantime she has been placed on bedrest and told to drink plenty of fluids in the hopes that the next ultrasound will show some improvement.  If indeed there are no kidneys there will be no improvement.  The outlook is bleak, but at present it is a waiting game.  I plan to travel out there to go with her for the next round of testing and I hope to stay as long as she needs me.  This is all so unbelievable.  Please keep us in your prayers.  We are trying to be strong and to trust in God.  Thank you everyone,  Faith

Thank you all

I want to thank all of you for your prayers.  I feel they are helping me to find some calm and peace.  My daughter is resting at home and trying to do everything possible to be sure that this baby is given every possible chance.  She is an amazingly strong woman and I know your prayers are helping her to face this challenge.  Happy Mother's Day to you all.  Love, Faith
