Thoughts on Depression

Almost one year ago I was diagnosed with depression, anxiety and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) thrown in for good measure. The funny part - prior to being diagnosed - was that I didn't have what I considered the "classic symptom" of depression. . .being depressed! Instead I would get p***ed at the slightest little thing. My physchologist said that is normal. . .that not everyone with depression is depressed all of the time. I'm happy to report after being on my medication for 10 months, I'm - for the most part - back to normal although I do have days where I feel like . No real trigger per se. . .I just "get up on the wrong side of the bed." Anybody have similar days?

Walter

Thoughts on Depression

The only thing about it was that getting pi**ed off was so out of character for me. Normally I'm really easy going and take stuff in stride. . .but I got to a point where the slightest thing would set me off and I'd rant and rave. I really appreciate my friend Terri who worked with me (she's a Physcologist) and helped me to get to the root of my problem. If it hadn't been for her I don't know where I might be today.
