Larry Harmon who was the original Bozo the clown died Thursday. He was 83. Bozo was originally created for a series of Capitol children's records in 1946. Several years later Mr. Harmon answered a casting call for a clown to make a personal appearance to promote the Bozo character. He launched the first Boz children's TV show in 1959. Bozo was the well known clown with red hair and a big nose that beeped when you pinched it.
