       And Many Who Gave Their Lives.


Oh september,the coming of fall
I remember it well,as do we all
How can we forget,what is now no more
Once standing proud,struck to the floor.

I look and look,and look around
Still feel those hearts,once on this ground
The feel of life,that once was here
Thier souls a presence,ever near.

We must not forget,such a tragic day
Cannot let memories,just fade away
We owe it to many,no longer here
Always keep thoughts,for those we hold dear.

When tragedy struck,it ceased all elation
A high price was paid,the blood of a nation
The innocent blind,to the fate on its way
They never knew why,lives would end that day.

Those mighty towers, of steel and stone
On that day,did twist and groan
Brought to their knees,by an evil hand
Torn and rendered,and scattered like sand.

All hands were raised,and answered a call
A nation as one says,god bless them all
We,ll never forget,when that day turned to night
Through streets of dust,they had to fight.

They gave their all,hearts never lost sight
Many gave their lives,for anothers plight
They never lacked courage,all walked as one
They fought and strived,till the job was done.

Whatever their calling ,whatever their creed
They saved life,they gave life,to any in need
They never gave in,they never took rest
Those men and those women,a nations best.

A wonderous thing,rose from this plight
A nation united,pledged hearts to fight
Whatever such evil,could cause such a stain
People spoke,and with one voice,said never again

Time will move on,but never the pain
A time all remember,again and again
I remember that day,all the dust and the fires
But somehow I still see,those mighty spires.


            TO THOSE WHO GAVE
            WE SHALL REMEMBER
            YOUR BADGE OF COURAGE
            WAS THAT SEPTEMBER.
