HUGGING BANDIT

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - The Hugging Bandit is now wrapped up in the arms of the law. Authorities in western New York charge the plus-sized Myra Castleberry put the squeeze on tipsy men and stole their wallets. She's blamed in a decade-long series of thefts in the Buffalo area. According to police, she would hug her victims while lifting their billfolds. Prosecutors say most of her victims were too drunk to identify her. She's being held without bail and is to appear in court tomorrow. One detective says he hopes she'll be hugging a pillow in a prison cell for a long time.
