If you are ever in Lacey, WA....
there's a really wonderful store here on Pacific Ave by the intersection with Sleater-Kinney in a small strip of stores: It's called "Art and Soul" and has been around for several years now. It's a really lovely shop and has the nicest, very supportive and creative folks who own it and who work there. They carry a wide range of supplies with lots of examples of what those supplies can make. They have wonderful classes that are well attended and lots of fun! And they have the nicest little area at the back where you can sit and read up on techniques or watch a video on various topics while having a cup of coffee or tea. I highly recommend it if you are ever over this way! (There's also a very nice little shop in downtown Olympia, but I've only been there once myself and can't recall its name at the moment. But I've heard folks say they really like it.) And of course for those of you who like to use beads with your rubberstamping and papercrafting projects: you can't beat a store like "Shipwreck Beads". It's so large and packed full of such incredible varieties of beads and findings and related necessities that it's easy to lose track of time and spend WAY too much more than you had intended to there! It is just a ways off to the north of the Interstate at the Hawks Prairie exit, but I don't recall the actual street or directions at the moment. But it is worth an excursion to Lacey in and of itself. No kidding--it's amazing! :D If you are interested in checking these out, let me know when you'll be in the area and maybe we could meet at a Shari's and then take an excursion together to enjoy these great stores. Hi!
I'm so glad to join you! I'm definitely a rubberstamper! I make hundreds of greeting cards a month. I have heard of Shipwreck Beads before! My favorite store has to be Archivers in Orland Park, Illinois. Next favorite is Stamp Thyme out in Lockport. I also go into Michael's pretty regularly. Actually, I'm a demonstrator for Stampin' Up! and buy most of my supplies from them. Everything's very pretty and color coordinated. I'm supposed to teach people how make cards, but the only customers I seem to have are those who just want me to make invitations or individual cards for them...They usually order upward of 100 at a time, so I stay pretty busy. With graduation season and Mother's Day and Father's Day coming, I'm going to be super busy! If you look at my main page, you can see some of the cards I've made in the past. Val

Another rubber stamper shop
I'll have to post the exact address later, but my friend Claire Bishop runs a rubber stamp store/business in St. Augustine, Florida. Let me check and I'll post the store's address as well as her website's URL. Walter

I know Claire
I know claire although I haven't seen her in years. I work in St. Augustine but not downtown. I may have to stop in and see her.
