You are very kind,Tony!!Thanks so much!I hope it helps someone young or old!You can be any age and carry the gene all your life,so,everyone should be aware of this!1 in 22 people carry this gene,but,it takes a lot of stress,pregnancy,or even a surgery can make the gene become active!1 in 133 people have this illness and don't know,doctors just don't look for it!It is becoming more doctor's becoming educated to find out!There is no cure,except,a gluten and wheat free diet and it is complicated at first,but,it is a lifestyle change!This is another good site to read about this! celiacdiseasecenter.columbia.edu Dr.Peter Green is a famous doctor on Celiac Disease at Columbia University in New York City!They will send you a new patient package if you have been diagnosed with celiac disease and pages of info online!

I would also like to thank you. I do not have celiac disease but I have a nephew who does. He also has type 1 diabetes. I look forward to learning all I can here. I am always looking for ways to create gluten/sugar free versions of his favorite foods and also welcome any advice on which gluten free products are the best.
