Just Rented the DVD last night. I have not said "Oh My God" so much since Braveheart and The Passion of the Christ. Excellent movie. I recommend making it one of your DVD rentals on your next trip out.

W O W !!! What can I say about this movie, but WOW! This is a fantastic movie! It's brutal yes, but with what is known of the Maya and their rituals, Mel Gibson actually took it easy on us. It's a haunting movie in that we see a civilization that we still know very little about and understand them even less. They were so unique, savage, and yet brilliant, and Gibson captures the mystery of these people. It is known that the Maya would attack smaller tribes and kill or capture its people. This is the story of a man of a small tribe that is attacked, and his fight for his life and that of his wife and son. He has to fight against the well seasoned warriors of the Maya kingdom which is no easy task. It's an exciting movie! Don't let the kids watch it!
