REMEMBER WHEN..?? Aahh, the memories!

Lets go back...close our eyes and go back
I'm talking about hide and seek,
red light green light, penny candy in a brown paper bag, hopscotch, jacks, kickball,
dodge ball y'all. Catching lighting bugs
in a jar, Hula hoops and sunflower seeds?
Hot fresh bread from the oven,
didn't it smell good?
The ice cream man came jingling down
the street and kids come running
from blocks around.
Going to the movies on Saturday
all day for 10 cents. And if your
allowance was a quarter, you had enough
left over for 2 bags of popcorn
and a soda! When around the corner
seemed far away, and going downtown
seemed like really going somewhere.

REMEMBER WHEN..?? Aahh, the memories!

ELVIS PRESLEY WAS EVERY GIRLS DREAM
INCLUDING (HIS CO-STAR ANN MARGRET)
. HE WAS MESMERIZING WITH HIS SOUTHERN
CHARM AND GOOD LOOKS!
HIS POPULARITY HAS NEVER WAVERED,
WITH NEW GENERATIONS OF FANS.
WE ARE STILL TOUCHED BY HIS MUSIC
IT'S TIMELESS!

Some of my fondest memories was
Crusin the streets around the circle,
looking for friends
and going to the local hangouts.
My favorite was the hub diner.
I loved their cherry cokes, onion rings
and carhop service. We were carefree
teenagers, having a good time.
Life seemed to be Simpler back then.
We weren't preoccupied with cell phones,
texting and social media.
This was long before their time.
Those were the days my friends!

NOTE WORTHY
We are lucky to have a local artist
Randy Welborne who painted some
great pictures of Beaumont Texas.
The South Park Drive. In Theatre
and Hub Dinner featured here is,
an example of his art.

A picture of South Park high school
( my high school ) was torn down in 2010
on Good Friday! So many memories as in
the video above. Don't get me wrong,
i was just as happy to finish High School
as everyone else but taking down
a landmark is erasing part
of your history!
...forever greenies...

Sweetie!

Do you like jazz?

I do!

MUAH!

Love always, Annette, "That's All!"

This song dated
1934, Joseph Meyer's music and Eddie DeLange's and Frank Loesser's
lyrics is a re-adaptation from a version of 1935 (18 January) sung by
Valaida Snow as a great trumpeter as well as singer.
The
"Imaginary Woman" project was born to celebrate the woman, seeing in
all its aspects her feelings and moods, though they are, as we all know,
infinite.
So try to bring all of these states
together into a single person in the light of a "Immaginative Woman," a
brave woman, a woman in love, a desirable woman, but also, alas,
abandoned.
With a repertoire predominantly Horse
between the years 20 and 30, (and a few tips from the 40 onwards), the
Quartet, which also includes an additional drummer, offers unusual
pieces and linked by incredible stories of women who lived at that time.
A small tribute to Annette Hanshaw.
