Thanksgiving in Southern California

We had a heat wave in mid-November.  The hot Santa Ana winds spread wildfires through several Southern California communities and many residential neighborhoods were devastated.  Although I live near the coast, sufficiently far away from the fires, we could smell the smoke, and all of the cars, plants, and lawns were covered with a thin coating of ash.  The weather was beautiful, but there was no walking outdoors for several days.  Unfortunately, this scenario is becoming les... today we have snow on the ground here in michigan finally and the trees are covered and i took willie to the window to look at the snow just to see what reaction he would have to it and he just loved the looks of it he stuck his head all the way out of his shell he thinks the looks of the pretty white snow is just beautiful . when i took willie to the window to see the snow it was snowing and the flakes were coming down big time we call the snowflakes angelkisses.... You guys keep me going. I live in fear that I am slighting one of you and you might think less of me. I think it happens to all of us boomers at one time or another. What joy it is to turn on boomer and writterdeb and all the rest who say hey in the shoutbox, catch a recipe (I've already tried the shrimp fried rice), and see who is up and active. Governments and their sometimes stupid rules… How old does one have to be to run a vacuum cleaner? Well it seems that teenagers under the age of 18 are not allowed to use such equipment in England. That is what one company used as ground to fire a 16 year old male. Karl Walker, who is in his final year of secondary school and plans to become a computer programmer, had been working for Apollo Cleaning for several weeks.
