The National Association for Music Educators has started a project to teach American children the national anthem. Titled the National Anthem Project, this effort has grown tremendously as individuals across the country are working together to teach Americans their national anthem. Teaching our children our national anthem will take more than donations from corporations or taxpayers - it will take the effort of parents and teachers. Senator Larry Craig, Chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Veterans Affairs, has urged all Americans to learn the words of "The Star-Spangled Banner" if they do not know them already.
