Andy Griffith Show
Another show u didn't mention was The Andy Griffith Show. We still watch that from time to time. There is a lot of good shows that were on tv when I was growing up. Do you remember The Wonderful World of Color with Walt Disney? They always had good shows on there. Another one was Lassie. Use to watch Mork and Mindy. There are so many that slip my mind right now. Help me out here? Rosyblondie

None
I love the "Andy Griffith" show. "Leave it to Beaver" is one of my favorites too. I have actually never liked "I Love Lucy". How could anyone be that goofy. I was embarrassed for her. I know it was just a show but she drives me crazy. I wish they would rerun "Marcus Welby, MD", "Make Room For Daddy" and "Father Knows Best". Boy, the good old days. Now most shows have unfit material for young kids to watch.

Another TVLand favorite
There is one show that I like on TV Land that y'all haven't mentioned yet. . .Emergency. If I had to pick one show that steered me towards the fire service, it was that one. I can remember when the show was in it's initial run on NBC on Saturday night from 8:00 - 9:00. . .I was ALWAYS glued to the set! I also agree about the other shows. . .especially the "Beverly Hillbillies." That was a show that is now a rarity in todays PG world. The worst you ever saw was Granny and her "rematiz medicine." I appreciate Fudgie for putting this group up. . .I know I'll be a regular here. Walter

Television theme songs?
If anyone would like to hear some of them, I have a small - but growing - collection of television theme songs that I found on Limewire (http://www.limewire.com). Let me know if there's some interest and I'll see if I can find a way to put them up here or everyone! Walter

Shows
Richard Boone was Paladin, The show was "Have Gun, Will Travel." His "office" was in San Francisco and trademark was the Knight chess piece. And for a hired gun, I got the impression that he wanted to make sure he was on the side of right, not might. Actually, in those days, it would have to be that way, wouldn't it? Haven't thought of that in a long time. "Gun Smoke," "Perry Mason," "The Big Valley," "The Andy Griffith Show" (Poor Barney could never have kept the job if he wasn't working for his cousin), "The Beverly Hillbillies," "Petticoat Junction," "Walt Disney," "the many incarnations of Lucy, "The Dick Van Dyke Show," "Gidget," "Bewitched," "The Patty Duke Show," "The Addams Family," "The Munsters," "The Rifleman," "Branded," "F-Troop," "The Bounty Hunter," "Wanted: Dead or Alive," "Maverick," "Alias Smith and Jones," "Bonanza," "Little House on the Prairie," "Father Murphy," "Baretta," "Father Knows Best," "Marcus Welby, M.D." etc....
