Oakie Hippie probably knows what the subject means but for those of you who don't it's the signal transmitted for a Line of Duty Death (LODD). I'm posting this in memory of the four (4) California firefighters who died Thursday when they were overrun by a fast moving brush fire in the hill above Palm Springs, California. They exemplified what firefighting is all about. . .they put the safety of others and preservation of their property in the forefront. . .knowing the associated danger. May they rest in peace.
