I haven't tried it yet, I was hoping to find somebody who had. There used to be classes through the local community center, but I moved too far away. Sometimes you can find classes at the local JoAnn Fabrics and other independent fabric stores. I've only had 2 classes and could certainly benefit from more.

quilt
I made a small crazy quilt. I have a book but I don't know how well I did. I have tons of squares cut out for another one but I don't have the space to lay everything out to figure out a pattern. I really want to start it but I'm leary because I want it to be good after all the time I have put into preparing it. Any suggestions will be appreciated. I do make blankets for my family. That is easy and takes little time.

Day Quilt
I have done a log cabin quilt that could conceivably be done in a day, or at least it wouldn't take long. It is sewn with all three layers (top, batting and backing) in one piece so it is quilted as you go. Then each of the log cabin squares get sewed together and the backing gets hand stitched. Then the border goes on. So it is pretty simple as long as all the pieces are cut correctly in the first place. This is how it looks:

i have got an easier way to make quilts
hi there all sewing people and quilters i make a simple quilt from sewing machine and mine is 30 years old or more and i make a simple quilt with sewing two materials 45 in by 60 in quilt cut then place batting inside it and then sew edges together first then to make quilt squares i pin pins down at 12 in wide and 12 in depth across the material on one side and it sews through to other side of it then sew lenght and wideth of it then can add applicales or a pocket in middle of it and then add baby blanket edgeing on the outside edges of it. one piece of material is flannel and the other is sheet material on other side of it. it takes one to three weeks to make it depending upon time to sew if you can tear me away from computer too. take care leah lynsee cain
