I'm curious. . .are there other members here on My Boomerplace - other than myself - that have Hydrocephalus and have survived it. For those of you who might not be familiar, hydrocephalous is a condition where Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) does not properly drain from the brain resulting in a larger-than-average cranium. Normally the life-span for a child with Hydrocephalous is between six (6) months and two (2) years, however, as you can see - and thanks to a miracle from God - I am still here. I am blessed not to have any of the secondary health issues such as spina bifida, heart problems or vision problems.

If there are others here who, like me, have survived it - or if you have kids or grand-kids who have survived it - please touch base with me because I would love to hear your story!

Boy Walter this is a strange affliction. I hope someone else comes forward with a similiar ailment.

Hydrocephalous
It's not really that strange. . .it's just a lot of folks don't understand it and equate the large head size with mental retardation. I've got a text file that I prepared for one of my other pages and I'll see if I can figure a way to post it here.
