When I heard the news today that Bobbi21 passed away, I cried. I never met her face to face. Never heard her voice. I only knew her icon here on my boomer place. But I knew her story all too well because I have lost many friends and my own true love to that damn dreaded disease...cancer.

I admired Bobbi and if you never read her profile , you should. I know from her profile she lost her husband about 11 years ago and soon after that her own father died; but she continued raisng her family while finishing her own education at the university. I think she graduated just this year. She had future plans and didn't let the fact she had cancer stand in the way. She was only in her mid-forties and that's way too young to pass away. It makes me feel guilty sometimes that I've made it this far unscathed when I hear stories like hers and would gladly exchange the difference in our years with her.

I will always carry a certain curiousity and a heavy saddness with me about the future of her children because I'm sure they were the light of her life. I hope they do well and let their mother's spirit fill their own souls and guide them through the unknown waters of the future.

Bobbi, I never knew you...but you touched my life and I cried when you died..
