Adverse Effects from Pacemaker
Billy, there is nothing that I have read to indicate that a pacemaker has untoward side effects, except that you have to be careful when getting an MRI or other tests that involve magnetic imaging. Most techs though will know that you have a pacemaker and work around it. I have looked up some information about them and you can be assured that what your doctors tell you is for your benefit. This site seems to have lots of information as well as links to other sites if you still have questions. It's always nice to have anecdotal experiences but the researchers who do double blind studies and collect data usually are the best source of information.

Thanks so much for your help. I am going in two weeks to talk about my MG and pacemaker so I guess we will see what he says about it also. It was my primary care physician that mention a pace maker since my pulse dips down to 34 most of the time.

Pace Maker
I had to chemical treadmill done the other day and everything show up with no blockages each valve pumped the it was supposed to but my pulse was only 34. Instead of changing my meds since it had taken at least 4 years to control it they are discussing with my installing a pace maker. I mentioned it to a few people and they are saying that It will shorten my life if I have one installed inside of me. Does anyone have one? Have you had problems with it? Does it indeed lesson the life time once installed? I hope if anyone knows anything about this subjuect please let me know, Thanks.
