I AM SO SORRY THAT I HAVE NOT BEEN AROUND. AS MOST OF YOU KNOW JACKEY'S STEP BROTHER WAS KILLED IN AN AUTO ACCIDENT MONDAY. HIS FUNERAL WAS FRIDAY AND WE WERE VERY BUSY GOING TO ALBERTVILLE, AL TO VISIT AND TRY TO HELP HIS FAMILY AS MUCH AS WE COULD. IT IS A VERY HARD TIME FOR ALL OF THEM AND I APPRECIATE ALL THE WONDERFUL MESSAGES THAT I HAVE RECEIVED WITH PRAYERS IN THEM. HE LEFT BEHIND A WIFE, TWO DAUGHTERS, TWO SISTERS, HIS MOTHER, DAD AND STEP DAD. THEY ARE ALL HAVING A TERRIBLE TIME WITH THIS. IT IS SO SAD AND SHOWS JUST HOW QUICKLY WE CAN LOSE A LOVED ONE. I DO HOPE YOU ARE ALL HAVING A WONDERFUL WEEKEND AND KNOW THAT I LOVE EACH OF YOU SO MUCH...
Haven't heard from you for a while!! How are you?? Not much going on around here. Been busy with Resident Council stuff as we have our elections coming up Wednesday, I’m not running for an office but I am Nominating Committee Chair so I’ll be running the elections. We have an independent third party, usually someone from League of Women Voters, come in to count ballots so everything is fair. No one can say we fixed the election!!! I made arrangements for that a couple of months ago. With 184 units in our apt. complex, it takes some work to get this done. I’ll be glad when this one’s over too!! Well, it’s finally over!!! No more flooding the TV with campaign ads whether they were local or national!! We had a couple of big issues here in Ohio and ads were on constantly!! Won’t miss them! And, although all votes aren’t counted at this time, I’m again disappointed in the country! It looks as though somewhere just over 60% of the eligible voting public actually went out and voted!!!! Haven’t been on here all weekend because I was out running around both days!!! The cold left and we got our Indian Summer!!! It’s been in the 70’s, sunny and just generally gorgeous!! So I wasn’t staying in the house! Did a bunch of grocery, shopping, hair cut, manicure all the good stuff!!!! Even got a doctor’s appointment in Saturday morning! Just had to get out and do something!!! And it’s supposed to stay this way most of the week!! And my internal clock hasn’t caught up with the time change yet!! Can’t seem to sleep past 5am!!!!
