It's cool and rainy here today; 71 at 11:30! Papa wanted to do some painting on the outside of an apartment but it is much too damp. The humidity is up in the 80's, too.
Sooo, this is yet another lazy, sleepy day around here. But Papa needs the rest; he's been over-doing this last month.

We did a lot of that yesterday! We worked on our Rose garden. All we'd been able to do is plant the Roses. Yesterday we tried to level the surrounding ground and paid plastic down to keep the weeds out and put some rock around the plants. It looks pretty nice!
Papa sent me in for a nap and while I was doing that he went out and cut down the rest of our Holly Locks. It sure did open things up! After my nap I did some weeding and Papa kept hauling them out back for me.
It was a very busy day! And we loved it; working together like that. Today he's off working elsewhere and I feel a bit lonely. But I can't have him around all the time, I guess.

As ususal, Papa planned on staying home today to do some work around here. He started getting phone calls at 9:30 a.m.! Sfter eating he took off on a job; don't know when he'll be back Ah, the life of the self-employed!!
It's turning out to be a lovely day. Pepper and I always have fed the birds, played some ball and played with a little girl across the street. We've also visited Pepper's web site. That's pretty busy for us!
