It's such a beautiful morning after, yet again, another storm last night. The rain just poured again! I don't know how we can keep from flooding. Of course, we are in a flash flood watch and was in another tornado watch. That's very unusual for our area.
We left for awhile this morning and when coming back we found someone in our rhubarb patch. As I was walking out to speak with her she started to leave. I waved at her and she stopped and got out. The lady was afraid I was going to give her a "chewing out" or call the police because she was "stealing." Nah, anyone is welcome to our rhubard; we can't use it all.
As we were talking she told me she recognized me immediately from the hospital from when my mother was in there. At that time she was very heavy and that's prbably why I didn't recognize her. As we spoke we discovered we are second cousins! What a small world, huh?
Anyway, we hope you are having a wonderful day. Take care and enjoy the day our Lord blessed us with.
Rain, rain, rain! It just doesn't want to stop. The ground is already saturated and 1 more inch of rain will cause flash flooding and we are expecting 4 - 5 inches in the next 2 days!
Thankfully, we missed all the damage east of us. Perhaps I shoudn't say "thankfully" because we really feel for those poor people who are suffering so.
Our flowers are coming out beautifully. The little Snowball bush that gave us 2 tiny blooms last year is loaded with full-sized blooms this year. But the rain keeps knocking it down. I got my Poppies dug up from the back and transplanted them around various places. I'm proud to say I did that all by myself. But it did take it's toll. But I have to do something!
We pray all is well with you, if not, put it in God's hands. He'll give you the strength and courage to endure.
