It's another lovely day, a bit humid but the high will only be about 83 and there's a nice cool breeze.
Papa is under a car right now; he'e supposed to be working on the windows across the street but he wants to get this car out of the way. He lost almost three days waiting for the guy to bring down! Thankfully, Allen knows how to keep himself busy waiting so he does get something accomplished.
He went across the street last night to see if "Tommie could come out and play." I told him they "better play nice or someone was going to get grounded!" Needless-to-say, they played nice. This is something we started in "fun" several years ago with someone else. Everyone has fun with it.
I had someone call me on the phone once to tell me Allen was out of the yard and I said I'd need to put the dog chain on him if he couldn't stay inside his own boundries. Of course, people took that and RAN with it!
Hope you have a wonderful day! Take care and Much Love, Junie and Papa Allen
We hope you had a wonderful 4th! We had a surprise visit from our son, Travis, and his family and a very good friend of his, Mike. The children had a wonderful time!
Papa Allen was working on someone's car when they came and the two guys got right in there and helped. It was just like the "old days" for Allen! He and Travis used to work on a lot of cars together before Travis left home.
Katie and I enjoyed the heat with a nice breeze on the deck watching the kids play. When the guys got done they enjoyed a few cold beers together.
Travis thanked me before he left. I asked him what for and he said for welcoming them. I reminded him that I love him very much and he and his family and friends are ALWAYS welcome here. We are the only ones that put their children first and aren't always yelling at them for one thing or another. We lovingly teach them what they can touch and not touch. I reminded him that even if the children should break something THEY come before things.
Well, better go. Have a wonderful day. We Love You. Junie and Papa Allen
