After a cold start to the week, it really got warm. Had severe storms come through Thursday night, then was 83 yesterday and is supposed to be again today. Spent yesterday at the garden store buying flowers then came home and planted. Have to go see sis today, so no fishing this weekend! Might be able to go tomorrow, but then they’re calling for storms the rest of the week! Oh well, I’ve got all summer and I’ll get out there yet! Nice holiday weekend, up in the 80’s. Then woke up yesterday morning to 40 degrees and 17 MPH winds! Was cold out!! It’s 44 this morning but is supposed to start warming up again! This has sure been one screwed up Spring! Sunday starts June, can only hope summer will finally get here! I’m still going to therapy for the hip, though it’s about as well as it’s going to get. Just need to build those muscles up more. Sis is doing well in the nursing home. She likes it there ok, especially when it’s warm out and I can take her down the street to Dairy Queen! I hope you and yours are enjoying this holiday weekend and that you have many fun moments together. I also hope you take a few moments and explain to the younger generation exactly what this day means. It started with the revolutionary war, through the Civil War, 2 Great wars, Vietnam, Korea, Desert Storm, and now Iraq. It’s the young men and women of the US fighting for the freedom for all Americans. Let’s not forget this day is to remember all those who have given their lives for over 200 years of freedom.And say a prayer that those fighting now will be home where they belong soon. Finally caught a fish!! six of them actually!!! Had a cold front come through Tuesday night and though Wednesday was beautiful, it was chilly and we had winds up to 25 miles an hour!! These little blue gill are so light because of the cold and they were deep and were all that was biting.Now that I’ve finally caught something maybe I’ll do better each time.
