I Had a Dream last night
My Grandson and nephew were graduating.
A few of my family were there.
The one that suprised me the most was my Dad.
It Shouldn't have, I know he would always want to be at all our special occations..
But you see.. my Daddy died in 1984.
He had a message for me and my family. One he said he should have got through long before!
He Said He Loved us all So very much.
He hoped we knew he was still watching us.
As any good dad would he said," he would have died for us"
but He said he had a favor to ask of each and every one.
Dad continuied.
He said since he had passed. He was reunited with his mother, father, his sister that passed before him, other relitives & friends.
He got to meet his other sisters one by one as they moved from their worldly place to the next and the great reunion he lastly had when he got to sooth his brother and tell him everything now was giong to be alright.
Then He stopped and I saw a tear in his eye,
I hugged my Daddy and asked him why?
He answered as he kissed my forhead, Its time you let me go..
I don't ever want you to stop. Don't Die for me .. I want you to Start living for me instead!
Every time my children fight or cry. every time they lay there hurting, all I can do is sit here and watch sending my love.
knowing, It's really not helping either one.
If you Love me enough to live for me, smile and laugh for me. hug and hold those kids and grandkids for me. reach out to your sister and brothers.
then baby I know We can all move on. and during the really happy times. I can still look down and send you my love.
During the really rough times If you feel something I'll be sending you a hug.
I live on through you, through your sister and your brothers.
look in your babies eyes you will catch a glimpse of me.
and always tell yourself what I would tell you!
just keep doing your best, it will all turn out ok! angels can't do any better, just like it said in the letter.
As Dad drifted away in my dream. I could hear giggling.
At first I thought I was still asleep maybe it was more of my dream, but It was my sweet 6 yr old grandson, he had gotten up early and him and the puppy dogs were trying to sneek in to wake me up,
just thinking about it had made him get the giggles, ..something my dad would would have done ;)
