I don't know where ANYONE would get the idea that the UNeducated go into the military. In fact, it's just the reverse. The Military wants and needs those with a good education in order to operate all the new "modern-age" technical equipment they have. We now longer have the draft and haven't for many years. Back then they took anyone and everyone. It's a shame to say but the uneducated and those with problems with the law, etc. were "exspenable". AND there wasn't the technogies of today; war was a bit simpler. I have a son and three grandchildren involved in the military and, believe me, they are no Dummies!
